The Crown Point Community Foundation celebrated their 22nd anniversary with almost 100 guests during their dinner meeting held at the Lighthouse Restaurant in Cedar Lake.
They have honored their three outgoing board members who were Joe Beckman, Marge Kerr, and Gerry Steiner. They also honored their three new board members: Nancy Cowan-Eksten, Ben Ballou, and Mark Dexter.

A Gilesgate-based shop and community facility, Hexham’s Core Music, launches a separate workshop where up to six people will be trained how to repair guitars and make ukuleles. The European Social Fund grant supported the project and has secured funds through the County Durham Communication Foundation to equip the workshop in Burn Lane.
